Oct 20, 2018  has anyone installed the sep 8,2017 update (see below) on a 2017 tundra premium jbl entune unit? If so what changes did you notice? Did the phone dial pad become funtioning while driving after update? Did pandora app vanish? Called Toyota entune support and they didnt even know what was posted on their own website re this update.

The service tech said I had to do it with a PChe was partially right because I used my PC to find the downloads via other people who posted itnot Toyota themselves. Before I found this post I actually found version 2.1 and 3.1 and thought I had to update it in order.

Hello everyone,
I just bought a Toyota Corolla S Plus and love this car! I'm here to see if anyone can help me with an issue. My Entune Touch Screen isn't working properly. I have to touch a little further down to where I want to press in order for it to work. As a result, the bottom options on the screen are inaccessible and can't setup any Bluetooth device. I've done a lot of research online, and I've found that other people have had this issue before on other vehicles like the Prius and were able to calibrate.
So far, what I've found is that I can access the Service Menu by turning the ignition key, holding down 'audio' and turning on and off the lights three times. Where I go to Touch, it doesn't give me any options to calibrate. The Prius forum showed that they had to access a different menu in order to calibrate. Does anyone here knows how to do this?

  1. Select DOWNLOAD Map Update Toolbox FOR WINDOWS and save the 'MapUpdateToolbox-inst.exe' to your desktop.
  2. Once downloaded, open the file and follow instructions. Run the installer program as you would for any other software.

CREATE A BACKUP:

  1. Click the icon on your desktop to open Map Update Toolbox.
  2. Insert the SD card from your vehicle into your computer to connect it to Map Update Toolbox.
  3. You will be prompted to create a backup of the SD card contents. Should your SD card become corrupted during the map update process, you will need the backup to restore your information. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you perform the backup process at this time.

LOG IN/CREATE A USER PROFILE:

  1. When backup is complete, log into Map Update Toolbox by selecting NOT LOGGED IN from the top menu.
  2. Sign in using your username and password. If you have not yet registered, select CREATE A USER PROFILE to do so now.

INSTALL MAP UPDATES:

  1. Log into Map Update Toolbox.
  2. A button will appear on the left side menu. If an update is NOT currently available, the button will be labeled 'Device.' If an update is available, the button will be labeled, 'Updates.'
  3. Select UPDATES, if available. (VERY IMPORTANT: Be sure to read the entire 'PLEASE NOTE' section before beginning this process.)
  4. Select INSTALL to begin the process.

FINISH THE MAP UPDATE PROCESS:

  1. Once the update is complete, it is advisable to create a new backup of the SD card contents.
  2. Select BACKUPS from the left side menu.
  3. Select CREATE BACKUP.
  4. Once backup is finished, you may remove the SD card and insert it back into your vehicle.

  5. Once completed, the toolbox will display SD Card is up-to-date. Select EXIT TOOLBOX.
  6. Properly eject the SD card from your computer. Once removed, insert it back into your vehicle.
